Welcome to Shawclough Primary School. I am delighted to introduce myself and our wonderful school community to you.
I am incredibly proud to serve the community of Shawclough as Headteacher. Our commitment is clear: we want all our pupils to succeed now so that they become responsible members of our local, national and global society in the future. This vision drives everything we do at our school.
Shawclough Primary is a two form entry primary school that caters for pupils from their earliest years through to Year 6. We are fortunate to have a nursery provision that welcomes children from two years old, giving families excellent early years support. Additionally, we have two specialist areas dedicated to special educational needs support - Rainbow and Rainforest - ensuring that every pupil receives the tailored care and education they deserve.
We are pleased that our latest OFSTED inspection judged the school as 'Good', and we continue to build upon this success. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to maintain and exceed these standards, always striving for excellence in all areas of school life.
Safeguarding remains absolutely central to the success of all our pupils. The wellbeing and safety of every child in our care is paramount.
